Kausani is a hill station and Village situated in Bageshwar district at an elevation of 1,890 m (6,200 ft) It is famous for its scenic magnificence and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli. Kausani was situated in the Almora District till before September 15, 1997, after the separation of Bageshwar district it came under the Bageshwar district.
